Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
A private international school in Bahrain is starting its recruitment for the next academic year. This is not a typical expatriate school; students will be mostly Arabic and will be speaking English as a second language.
Job Requirements
Knowledge:
- Evidence of up to date knowledge of the Curriculum.
- Understanding of the significance of our school ethos.
- Knowledge of SEND requirements.
- Understanding of the requirements of good classroom head of departments.
Skills and Abilities:
- Commitment to curriculum continuity between the phases.
- Commitment to continuously updating and maintaining planning.
- Records of student progress and intervention strategies.
- Able to provide a practical commitment to an equal opportunities policy of inclusivity.
- Ability to collaborate and work in a team.
Experience:
- At least 5 year s teaching / experience in the specified role.
- Evidence of good personal relationships/ team player.
- Evidence of experience of working with students who have challenges, both learning and behaviour.
Desired Candidate Profile
Job Requirements
Educational:
- Qualified Special Education teacher with Bachelor degree or equivalent.
- Evidence of involvement in continuing professional development(CPD) activities as a participant.
Special Requirements:
- Applicant s compliance to supporting and upholding the school s Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy.
- A Criminal Record Disclosure will be required prior to appointment.
- Excellent and unequivocal references.
- Good attendance and health record.
