Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Responsible for managing all legal obligations of HOM including advising on corporate and commercial law, contractual and strategic transactions, public exposures and associated risks for the Group.
Provide expert legal advice on all local and international laws affecting HOM and its operations. Seek external legal advice as required.
Responsible for all contract reviews.
Develop and maintain effective business relationships with law firms and advisors and work with them to position and retain HOM.
Implement and maintain an effective compliance program and culture within the organization.
Ensure Company s risk management policies and strategies are following applicable regulations.
Prepares business contracts and administers other legal matters.
Interprets laws, rulings, and regulations required by Management, Stakeholders.
Interprets laws, rulings, and regulations for HOM cases.
Represents HOM court or administrative agencies of government.
Confers with colleagues with specialty in area of lawsuit to establish and verify basis for legal proceedings.
Gathers evidence in, civil, criminal, and other cases to formulate defense or to initiate legal action.
Settles labor disputes, and administers other legal matters
Ensure legal compliance of HOM with relevant authorities
Examines legal data to determine advisability of defending or prosecuting lawsuit.
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum of 10 year of experience in a senior legal role, preferably within a corporate environment.
Proven track record of managing legal teams and overseeing complex legal matters.
Strong understanding of corporate, commercial, and regulatory law.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, office-based environment.
Demonstrated ability to provide strategic legal advice to senior management.
High ethical standards and sound judgment.
Experience with contract drafting, review, and negotiation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience in start-ups is an Extra.
