Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Strategic Legal Leadership: Serve as the primary legal advisor to senior management and the Board, providing strategic counsel on business initiatives, corporate governance, and enterprise risk management.

  • Compliance & Regulatory Mastery: Ensure the company's strict adherence to all UAE and Dubai-specific regulations, including RERA rules, Dubai Land Department (DLD) procedures, Escrow account mandates, and construction codes.

  • Contract Lifecycle Management: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of complex agreements, including construction contracts, joint venture agreements, MOU’s, lease documents, and financing instruments.

  • Dispute & Litigation Management: Oversee all legal disputes, from negotiation and mediation through to litigation. Manage external counsel and represent the company’s interests in proceedings before authorities and courts as necessary.

  • External Relations & Advocacy: Act as the primary liaison with government and regulatory bodies, including DLD, RERA, and Dubai Municipality, to facilitate approvals and resolve regulatory matters.

  • Proactive Industry Engagement: Proactively monitor, analyze, and advise on evolving laws, regulations, and market practices affecting the real estate and construction sector in the region.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • A law degree (LLB or equivalent) from a recognized institution; a Master’s degree or additional legal certifications are advantageous.

  • Minimum of 10 years of post-qualification legal experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the Dubai/UAE real estate and construction sector.

  • Proven expertise in Dubai construction law, RERA regulations, property transactions, and corporate commercial law.

  • Demonstrated experience in managing the legal affairs for a large-scale real estate developer or a major construction group.

  • Exceptional skills in contract negotiation, risk assessment, and strategic problem-solving.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all organizational levels.

  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a significant advantage.
