Downe House Muscat is seeking an inspirational and experienced Head of Mathematics to lead our successful department from Grades 7 12. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic curriculum leader with a proven track record of raising standards, driving improvement through effective use of data, and delivering high-quality teaching and learning. The Head of Mathematics will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of the subject, supporting colleagues through change, and ensuring that all students experience Mathematics as engaging, challenging and enjoyable. • Develop co-curricular and enrichment opportunities, including competitions.

• Promote cross-curricular links and innovative STEAM initiatives.

Teaching & Learning

• Model excellent teaching in line with the Downe House Method.

• Deliver creative, well-structured lessons with strong subject knowledge.

• Use purposeful assessment and data to track progress and raise achievement.

• Provide timely, constructive feedback to support improvement.

• Contribute to the broader life of the school and uphold high professional standards.

School & Subject Promotion

• Raise the profile of Mathematics through displays, events, and communications.
