Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
As the Head of Production, you will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and own the entire production lifecycle. You will lead a multi skilled team of approximately ten direct reports and manage the end to end sequence from design preparation through to final installation and dismantling. Your focus will be on synchronising multi factory operations while embedding lean manufacturing principles like 5S and Kaizen to ensure efficiency and cost control.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and synchronise multi factory operations to ensure high quality output and on time delivery.
- Oversee a broad technical scope including joinery carpentry CNC machining steel fabrication paint and upholstery.
- Implement operational objectives and KPIs to improve productivity and strengthen production data management.
- Drive the adoption of technology and AI enabled improvements to enhance factory performance.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and optimise machine utilisation.
- Manage the full production sequence including build up site installation and reporting.
- Ensure the highest standards of health safety and environmental compliance across all facilities.
- Coach and develop production teams while managing performance reviews and staffing requirements.
Desired Candidate Profile
Requirements:
- At least ten years of experience in a senior production or manufacturing role within events exhibitions or bespoke fabrication.
- A degree in Wood Technology Industrial Engineering or a similar technical qualification.
- Proven expertise across CNC machining carpentry steel fabrication and high end paint finishes.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems such as Dynamics 365 to track material yield and labor productivity.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing certifications like Lean Six Sigma is highly beneficial.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage large and multi skilled teams.
- Advanced English communication skills with Hindi, Urdu or Arabic being a plus.
- A valid UAE driving license and the flexibility to work weekends or travel internationally when required.
