CANDIDATE PROFILE
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
ABA Oman International School seeks an experienced, principled, and strategic Head of School
to lead a strong, mission-driven institution into its next chapter.
This profile reflects the professional qualifications required to lead a complex international IB
school, the leadership qualities essential for effective partnership with the Board and
community, and the key priorities shaping ABA’s continued growth.
Post-graduate degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or a related field.
4+ years of prior experience as a Head of School or in a comparable senior leadership role.
Experience leading in an international or cross-cultural context.
Significant leadership experience with IB programs.
Demonstrated experience leading accreditation and/or authorization processes.
Proven experience leading complex educational organizations with multiple stakeholder
groups.
Strong financial literacy and experience overseeing budgets and strategic planning.
Demonstrated ability to build and lead effective leadership teams.
