Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Secondary School section in alignment with the schoolu2019s vision, mission, and strategic objectives
  • Ensure high standards of teaching, learning, assessment, and student achievement across the secondary phase
  • Provide academic leadership for the British Curriculum, including GCSE programs and examination preparation
  • Monitor curriculum implementation, lesson quality, and student progress to ensure outstanding educational outcomes
  • Support and mentor teachers through coaching, professional development, and performance management
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment
  • Work closely with senior leadership, department heads, teachers, parents, and students to support academic and pastoral success
  • Analyze academic performance data and implement improvement plans where necessary
  • Ensure compliance with ADEK requirements, school policies, safeguarding standards, and quality assurance procedures
  • Lead curriculum planning, timetable coordination, and examination readiness
  • Encourage innovation, digital learning, and best educational practices within the secondary school
  • Foster strong communication and partnerships with parents and the wider school community

Requirements

  • Bacheloru2019s Degree in Education or relevant subject area (Masteru2019s Degree preferred)
  • Teaching qualification such as PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent
  • Minimum 5u20138 years of teaching and leadership experience within a British Curriculum school
  • Strong GCSE curriculum and assessment experience is essential
  • Proven experience in academic leadership and school improvement initiatives
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong understanding of ADEK regulations and inspection frameworks is preferred
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and lead teams effectively
