Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Secondary Stage, ensuring a high standard of education and operational effectiveness.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor effective teaching and learning strategies aligned with the curriculum to enhance student outcomes.
  • Foster a culture of professional development and collaboration among teachers, providing mentorship and support to enhance instructional practices.
  • Oversee student progress, assessment, and achievement, using data to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the wellbeing and safeguarding of all students, creating a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Work closely with parents, teachers, and the wider school community to promote student success and engagement.
  • Collaborate with school leadership to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and policies.
  • Manage resources and budgets effectively to support the secondary stage's educational objectives.
  • Stay abreast of current trends and innovative practices in secondary education, integrating them into the school's practices.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor s degree in Education or a related field; a Master s degree is preferred.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in teaching, with at least 2 years in a leadership role within secondary education.
  • Strong knowledge of the secondary education curriculum and assessment procedures.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a team of teachers.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive learning environment that promotes student well-being and achievement.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships within the school community.
