Roles & Responsibilities

Operational responsibilities

Developing and delivering smart technological solutions and applications that facilitate and improve the organization's operations.

Setting standard specifications for systems, programs and applications in line with global best practices in the field of information technology, and ensuring their application during the purchase or development of systems and applications.

Regularly monitor, update, and develop systems, programs, and applications to ensure their efficiency and sustainability.

Coordinating with organizational units within the entity to gather their requirements for systems, programs and applications that support and improve their work, and providing these solutions in line with best practices and government policies.

Training users on how to use systems, programs and applications through workshops, and preparing user manuals for all systems and applications, while ensuring they are constantly updated.

Testing software and applications to ensure they work efficiently and effectively without problems before delivering them to users.

Ensuring that the final software and application interface meets user requirements and expectations, and reflects the identity of the entity in coordination with the relevant units.

Enabling organizational units to understand the technical systems provided, systems development processes, compliance with governance practices, and solutions engineering and integration standards.

Develop a business continuity plan for systems, software and applications in case of outages or emergencies.

Managing relationships with technology suppliers and external partners to ensure the availability of appropriate and advanced technology solutions that meet the organization's needs .

Technical competencies : The knowledge, skills, and abilities specific to the job required to perform specialized tasks or functions effectively within a particular role or field.

Systems engineering and integration : The design, development, and maintenance of systems architectures that integrate various IT systems and applications to ensure seamless data exchange and interoperability. This includes incorporating cybersecurity awareness to protect IT assets and sensitive information.

Agile software development : Applying agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban to develop and deliver software solutions iteratively. This includes project management, DevOps practices, and adapting to changing requirements and priorities.

Database administration : Designing, managing, and maintaining relational databases, data models, and data integration processes to support data analysis, reporting, and decision-making needs. This includes using database technologies such as Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.

Quality assurance : This involves software quality assurance activities, including testing, debugging, and performance optimization, to ensure the reliability, security, and ease of use of software applications. It also includes user training and support.

Data analysis : Analyzing and interpreting data using appropriate tools and techniques to identify patterns, trends, and insights, and to communicate findings effectively to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.

Bachelor's degree in a related field

A master's degree in a related field is preferred.

Professional Experience : 10+ years of relevant experience, with at least 6 years of supervisory experience
