Roles & Responsibilities

Position Title : Head of SME Commercial Operations & Platform Leadership

Profit-Sharing Leadership Role – SaaS + FaaS Platform


Industry: FinTech / Accounting SaaS / SME Advisory / Digital Compliance

Location: Dubai, UAE (remote-first with occasional travel)

Reporting To : Founder/Board


Position Overview

We seek a tech-savvy entrepreneurial leader for this 100% profit-sharing role (no base salary) to lead our SaaS + FaaS platform for SMEs. The successful candidate will drive commercial growth, achieve profitability, and expand regionally through hands-on platform mastery and strategic execution.

This high-impact position combines commercial leadership, technical expertise, and financial advisory to transform our platform into a market leader while delivering exceptional value to SME clients.


Key Responsibilities


Commercial Leadership & Market Growth

  • Lead acquisition and expansion of SME clients across key sectors

  • Drive SaaS subscriptions and FaaS advisory upsells

  • Develop and execute regional market entry strategies

  • Build strategic partnerships with ecosystem players

  • Achieve profitability through disciplined P&L management

SaaS + FaaS Product Mastery

  • Demonstrate deep technical understanding of the platform

  • Lead client onboarding, training, and technical implementation

  • Manage integrations with e-commerce, POS systems, and banking feeds

  • Create client success dashboards for financial health monitoring

  • Oversee platform enhancements and automation features


Technical & Compliance Leadership

  • Ensure regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions

  • Master tax, VAT, and financial reporting requirements

  • Build scalable FaaS delivery processes

  • Lead API and integration development priorities

  • Drive platform adoption and feature optimization


Profitability & Team Leadership

  • Take full ownership of commercial P&L performance

  • Build and manage sales, delivery, and technical teams

  • Implement churn reduction and customer retention systems

  • Optimize pricing, costs, and service delivery models

  • Prepare for growth funding based on performance metrics


Required Qualifications


Professional Experience

  • 8+ years in fintech, accounting SaaS, or SME advisory

  • Proven track record scaling subscription + service revenue models

  • Experience leading technical product implementation

  • Demonstrated success in multi-market expansion

  • Comfortable with pure profit-sharing compensation structure


Technical Skills

  • Hands-on proficiency with cloud accounting platforms

  • Experience with API integrations and automation tools

  • Deep knowledge of regional tax and compliance requirements

  • Ability to deliver live platform demonstrations

  • Familiarity with financial dashboards and analytics


Business & Leadership Skills

  • Strategic commercial planning and execution

  • Client relationship management at executive level

  • Team building and performance management

  • P&L ownership and profitability achievement

  • Growth marketing and partnership development


Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, IT, or related field

  • Professional certifications (ACCA, CPA, CMA preferred)

  • Fintech or digital transformation experience advantageous


Compensation Structure

100% Profit-Sharing Model (no base salary):

  • Direct percentage of net profits from revenue you generate
