About the Position:

Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking a Head of Stage to join the resort s Entertainment Administration team.

The primary duties and responsibilities of this role are:

• Manage the Stage Department.
• Hire and train new employees.
• Lead the team in establishing and maintaining the safe and consistent operations of all equipment, props and scenic elements, puppets and illusions used in each performance.
• Work with the Illusion Designer to obtain a full understanding of all illusions and puppets used in the show and the required maintenance.
• Oversee the operations of the stage scenery, props, puppets and illusions during the rehearsals and performances.
• Coordinate the backstage storage through load-in and rehearsals with all other technical departments.
• Supervise the organization, maintenance and cleaning as required
• Over see the documenting, monitoring of the scenery installation specifications and drawings, create an inventory of all scenery, illusions, equipment and supplies and document all pertinent inspection and maintenance records.
• Monitor all scenery, props, puppets and illusions to maintain a safe environment.
• Oversee the coordination and completion of all show presets.
• Develop and oversee a regular and long-term maintenance schedule for all department equipment, scenery, props, puppets and illusions and participate in such inspections regularly.
• Support the performers at all times by assisting and guiding their interaction with all show elements and technical staff.
• Support the Executive Director of Technical Operations in creating an atmosphere that maximizes productivity and minimizes costs.
• Produce yearly department budgets. Manage the department s budgets and capital expense projections and oversee the supply, replacement and inventory of consumables.

About You:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of seven (7) years experience as Head of Stage for a large-scale theatrical or production show.
• Must have prior experience with a wide variety of modern theatrical systems and skilled in theatrical rigging, flying effects, stage carpentry, welding, mechanical, and hydraulics.
• Experience with construction and maintenance, modern theatrical scenery and equipment including steel, wood, plastics, paints, power tools, hand tools, dust control and chain motors.
• Prior experience working with illusions and puppets is a plus.
• Must be able to manage staff and perform under pressure as well as manage logistics.
• Must have the ability to create, implement and work within fiscal budgets.
• Must be highly organized and be able to function in a stressful environment.
