Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with local and international regulations.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits across all textile production facilities to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead incident investigations, analyze root causes, and implement preventive measures to minimize workplace accidents and injuries.
- Deliver training programs and workshops to educate employees and management on health and safety best practices and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all occupational health and safety laws, standards, and company policies.
- Collaborate with department heads and production managers to integrate safety protocols into daily operations.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on safety performance, incidents, and corrective actions to senior management.
- Coordinate emergency response plans and conduct regular drills to ensure preparedness for potential workplace emergencies.
- Liaise with external regulatory bodies and auditors during inspections and ensure timely resolution of any identified issues.
- Continuously review and update safety procedures to reflect changes in legislation, technology, and industry best practices.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in health and safety management, preferably within the manufacturing or textile industry.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing effective health and safety programs.
- Strong knowledge of local and international occupational health and safety regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct risk assessments and safety audits.
- Experience in delivering safety training and workshops to diverse teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly in incident investigation.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in preparing detailed safety reports and documentation.
- Willingness to work onsite and engage directly with production teams.
