JOB PURPOSE:
Support the Health & Safety Manager in implementing and enforcing the company s H&S policy and regulatory requirements.
Act as a visible safety champion on site, helping embed safe work practices in day-to-day operations.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Ensure workplace safety and compliance with relevant local regulations and company standards.
Deliver safety orientations, trainings, toolbox talks, and distribute H&S materials to teams.
Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive H&S management system aligned with company policy.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the H&S system and propose practical improvements.
Coordinate and investigate incidents, identify root causes, and follow up on corrective actions.
Provide leadership in plant safety committee meetings and offer guidance to supervisors and staff.
Serve as an in-house trainer for H&S programs and support emergency preparedness activities.
Collaborate across departments to maintain a healthy workplace and drive continuous improvement.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education / Professional Experience: Bachelor s degree. Minimum 3 years experience in HSE & operations within the ready-mix or cement industry.
Certifications: OSHAD and NEBOSH IGC required; ISO 45001:2018 auditor certification required.
Operational Knowledge: Strong skills in hazard and risk identification, job safety analysis, and hazard assessment methods.
Ability to conduct H&S audits and inspections, maintain training records in line with company and regulatory requirements, and support firefighting and emergency response planning.
