Health, Safety, and Environment Specialist

SETS is on the look for a Health, Safety, and Environment Specialist to join its Construction Department in Madinah. The jobholder reports to the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Department Head.

Contributes to the design process by advising on materials and environmental quality standards.

Prepares specialized reports on engineering work and project progress, presenting and archiving them according to policies.

Develops work methods and stays updated on technological advancements.

Monitors operations and inspects sites to ensure compliance with environmental safety standards, providing recommendations as needed.

Identifies hazards in the work environment (chemical, physical, radiological, biological) and suggests mitigation strategies, including recommending medical exams for workers. Measures lighting, ventilation, and noise levels at work sites, comparing them to acceptable standards and recommending corrective actions.

Ensures adherence to occupational health principles, preparing and archiving related documents in compliance with safety procedures. Monitors the disposal of industrial waste to prevent environmental health impacts.

Saudi national

Bachelor s degree in occupational health and safety, Engineering, Operations and Quality Management, Environmental Science and Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited university

Minimum of 6 to 10 years, including experience as a Quality Engineer for large projects with direct professional supervision over the following

functional areas: project controls (cost, schedule, scope, trends); environment, safety, and health; risk management; contracts and procurement; financial management; quality assurance and quality control

Experience gained in large projects

PMP,CAPM from PMI

PRINCE2 from Axelos

ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems from ISO

Six Sigma Black Belt

TQM from an accredited organization

Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)

Internationally recognized certification in Occupational Health and Safety, granted by NEBOSH (Certified Safety Professional)

Proficiency in spoken and written Arabic

Proficiency in spoken and written English
