Roles & Responsibilities

Health & Safety Specialist (Sokhna Plant- Outsource)

Job Purpose

  • To implement all necessary plans, polices, procedures, processes, and programs, inspect and supervise any work activities carried out in the LCE plant, and report any unsafe act/condition in relation to Health and safety and firefighting on site in order to achieve a safe workplace.

Key Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities:

Health & Safety:

  • Control all administration related to risk management process in terms of registration, data entry validation and steps, system follow up with the area owners to cover all the area tasks.
  • Develop driving risk assessment (SWI) with concerned parties and ensure all risk are mitigated and controlled
  • Responsible of the training of all contractors H&S officers and workers and their assessment; keep it under close monitoring with collaboration with all stakeholders.
  • Maintain HS contractors training records system from all HS department sections. Generate periodically from the system all required trends and analysis report for his area of responsibility
  • Full responsibility of all required (Legal Group Country Plant Department) HS Reports and circulate on time to all pre-defined targeted population in the plant as per his area of responsibility.
  • Drive with concerned members of plant management to ensure presence of quality PPE and oversee implementation of site specific PPE procedure for employees and contractors.
  • Follow and conduct all emergency drills specially for area of responsibility and develop an action tracker for all action and follow up until closure.
  • Ensure that HS Programs are developed and implemented in area of responsibility.
  • Full ownership of circulation plan implementation on site and follow up until closure.
  • Coordinate and support with HS operations team members to enroll into daily HS operations activities all assigned area.
  • Develop a layout for all fire equipment and exit in plant.
  • Participate in kilns shutdowns in terms of ensuring hazards identification and risk control related to its activities.
  • Authorized as permit issuer.

Education,

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

  • Bachelor s Degree.

Technical Skills:

  • Experience of field HSE.
  • Software Skills (Spreadsheets, Mobile Apps) are a must.
  • Knowledge of operations of Cement and Aggregates & Concrete activities is a plus
  • HSE technical experience and certifications is a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2-3 years in the HSE function in the manufacturing industry.
