Job Title: Heat Exchange Department Manager

Job Summary:

The Heat Exchange Department Manager is responsible for leading the design, engineering, manufacturing, and delivery of heat exchangers and related equipment for oil and gas projects, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, project requirements, quality, cost, and schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end activities of the Heat Exchanger department, including engineering, fabrication, testing, and delivery
• Oversee design and thermal calculations for shell & tube heat exchangers, aircooled heat exchangers, and pressure vessels
• Ensure compliance with ASME, TEMA, API, PED, and client specifications
• Coordinate with project management, procurement, QA/QC, production, and inspection teams
• Review and approve datasheets, drawings, calculations, MTOs, and technical documents
• Lead technical discussions with clients, consultants, and third-party inspectors
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure on-timedelivery
• Support tendering and proposal activities by providing technical inputs and cost estimates
• Ensure implementation of quality, safety, and HSE standards across the department
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality and cost control
• Mentor and manage engineers, designers, and supervisors within the department.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering (Masters preferred)
• 10 to 15+ years of experience in heat exchanger design and manufacturing within the oil & gas sector
• Strong knowledge of thermal design software and engineering tools
• Hands-on experience with fabrication, inspection, and testing processes
• Proven leadership and team management experience
