Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Heavy Duty (Truck) Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate must have a valid driver’s license ( should valid at least for three years) , a clean driving record, and the ability to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles. The successful applicant will be responsible for transporting a special equipment mounted on a trailer from one location to another within the ADNOC assets / other goods from one location to another, ensuring timely delivery in a safe and efficient manner.


Responsibilities:

  • Operate trucks safely, following all traffic laws and adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Load and unload goods, ensuring that items are properly secured during transit.
  • Plan and follow the best routes, taking into account traffic and weather conditions to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Conduct regular vehicle inspections to maintain its safe operation, identifying and reporting any mechanical or electrical issues that require attention.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, dispatchers and clients, updating on delivery statuses and possible delays.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, such as wearing seat belts and personal protective equipment, as well as using safety lighting and appropriate safety gear.
  • Complete delivery logs and other necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Communicate courteously with other drivers, pedestrians, and road users.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Should have adequate knowledge on the ADNOC HSE requirements.
  • Should have ADNOC ADSD (Defensive & Desert Driving) Certification
  • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
  • Proven working experience as a truck driver, with a minimum of three years’ experience. (Preference to drivers having experience on ADNOC sites)
  • Must pass ADNOC‑approved medical fitness checks (vision, physical fitness), possibly including BMI limits dependent on onshore/offshore roles
  • Ability to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles
  • Knowledge of truck maintenance and repair, including identifying and reporting any mechanical or electrical issues
  • Proficiency in English (and often basic Arabic) to follow safety and site protocols.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as basic math skills, including reading maps, calculating distances and weights, and completing delivery logs and other necessary paperwork
  • Ability to work independently in solitary shifts or as part of a team, following written and verbal instructions
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed
  • Excellent work ethic and a commitment to providing the best service to customers
  • Physical fitness, as drivers may be required to lift, carry, and move heavy cargo
  • Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test, as required by law
