Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace.
- Comply with all Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals.
- Provide information and materials to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate and legal documentation.
- Operate a variety of cranes, with emphasis on 60 90 Ton and construction heavy equipment.
- Interpret load charts and plan all lifts.
- Determine safe lift parameters and follow established procedures.
- Document lift plan as required any time the lift exceeds 75% of the crane s capacity for any given circumstance.
- Perform safety inspection of crane, heavy equipment, wire rope, hooks, slings and rigging as required. Document inspections as required.
- Operate cranes for building construction and movement of cargo or equipment.
- Operate construction heavy equipment such as loaders and forklifts, for cargo movements and construction.
- Lubricate, check fluids, and perform safety inspection and minor maintenance as required prior to operation of any equipment, per Preventative Maintenance Check Sheets (PMCS).
- Arrange equipment maintenance according to manufacturer recommendations or as directed by the Vehicle Maintenance Facility (but around planned lifts when possible). Inform job site person in charge of impending maintenance schedules.
- Comply with all ESH Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals.
- Provide documentation to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate legal documentation.
- Responsible for preparing and submitting daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Perform physical activities including heavy lifting, climbing in and out of heavy equipment, crawling, and working outdoors.
- Implement and maintain a safe workplace program and ensure that safety is the highest priority in the workplace.
- Perform additional duties and projects assigned. Will be asked to work across Trades when Heavy Equipment work is not scheduled.
Minimum Acceptable Experience Level:
- Four (4) years experience in construction heavy equipment operation, such as cranes, forklifts and loaders.
- 200 hours of routine crane operation.
- NCCCO Certification, or equivalent, in crane operations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Able to lift and move items, parts, assemblies, and equipment up to the maximum safety regulations.
- Able to perform physical activities including heavy lifting, climbing in and out of heavy equipment, crawling, and working outdoors.
- Knowledge of principles and processes involved in supporting contract responsibilities at an overseas facility.
- Experience providing excellent customer services.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules. br>Cross-cultural sensitivity with an international perspective.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Expert computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to become an active and functioning member of a team.
- Ability to be innovative and be an agent for change.
- Expert communication skills to facilitate and disseminate information.
- High school diploma or GED.

Passport, Licenses and Certifications:
- As part of pre-contingency requirements, by the time the visa process starts, candidates must possess a valid passport of home country with a minimum of 18 months remaining to expiration date with 8 blank pages.
- Valid drivers and truck drivers licenses from Home of Record.
- NCCCO Certification, or equivalent, in crane operations.
Security Vetting: Must possess an active DOD or DOS Secret security clearance and maintain eligibility for the duration of the contract.
Language Skills: Satisfactory English proficiency to meet job requirements and to adhere and comply with safety, health, and security measures.
Citizenship: US Citizenship.
Medical:
- Successfully complete and pass the medical and dental examinations as required by Amentum and our customer for deployment to Iraq.
