Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Develop and deliver engaging biology lessons for high school students in accordance with the school's curriculum and international standards.
- Foster a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, scientific inquiry, and critical thinking.
- Utilize differentiated instructional strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, projects, laboratory work, and examinations.
- Incorporate technology and hands-on experiments to enhance student understanding of biological concepts.
- Promote ethical scientific practices and respect for all living organisms.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary projects and participate in school events such as science fairs and academic competitions.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and support their academic and personal growth.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with advancements in biology education and pedagogy.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor s degree in Biology, Science Education, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience teaching biology at the high school level.
- Demonstrated ability to create inclusive and equitable learning environments.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in integrating technology into classroom instruction.
- Commitment to fostering students critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to design and implement laboratory experiments safely and effectively.
- Willingness to participate in extracurricular activities and school events.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills are an asset.
