Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, achievements, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and deliver engaging English language and literature lessons to high school students, aligning with American and IB curriculum standards.
- Design and implement differentiated instructional strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
- Integrate technology and multimedia resources to enhance the learning experience and promote digital literacy.
- Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to plan interdisciplinary units and school-wide initiatives.
- Participate actively in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance according to school policies.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of the English curriculum and instructional materials.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 5 years and maximum of 10 years of relevant teaching experience at the high school level.
- Demonstrated expertise in English language and literature instruction.
- Experience with American and/or International Baccalaureate (IB) curricula is highly desirable.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Ability to create a supportive and engaging learning environment for diverse student populations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in integrating educational technology into classroom instruction.
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and collaboration.
- Willingness to participate in extracurricular activities and school community events.
