Highway Design Engineer

Dubai, UAE

What Youll Be Doing

• Independently develop and/or supervise the creation of engineering products that meet customer quality requirements. This includes defining the problem, establishing the work scope, preparing the budget and schedule, planning the work, providing technical direction, and reporting the work status.
• Produce typical products such as detailed calculations, drawings, procurement documents, design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and detailed analyses.
• Provide support for other engineering activities as required.
• Supervise one or more subordinates and provide input regarding performance.
• Be assigned to a project or organizational team, or act as a lead engineer for a specific discipline on a small to intermediate size project.
• Provide input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
  
  
  

What Required Skills Youll Bring

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering (or related field).
• Minimum 5 years of related work experience.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate may be required.
• Proficiency in working with AutoDesk Civil 3D.
• Very good knowledge of utilizing Bentley Microstation.
• Proficiency in utilizing any other CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering.
  
  
  

Desired Skills Youll Bring

• Experience in design/engagement in developing major highway schemes, such as interchanges, large signalized intersections, roundabout designs.
• Experience in Bentley OpenRoads is beneficial.
