Roles & Responsibilities
Purpose of Job:
As Sales & Marketing Manager is to be responsible in developing and fostering business through pro-active direct sales, marketing, telemarketing, direct mail, appointment calls and tours of the hotels. Also develops strategic action plans for hotels to drive measurable, incremental sales revenue.
To Identify areas of opportunity in performance and recommend tools and sales training to optimize performance of all teams. Additionally, work with individual hotel teams to identify skill development areas and properly deploy sales and marketing resources.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
To have Clear understanding of the hotels business strategies then set goals and to determine action plans to meet those goals.
Update action plans and financial objectives quarterly
Identify new markets and business opportunities and increase sales.
Represent Hotels in various events and exhibitions.
Implements all sales action plans related to my market areas as outlined in the marketing plan.
Conducts daily sales calls and arrange site inspection trips to hotels by potential clients.
Able to provide quick and timely responses, immediate communication to the properties, develop professional long term business relationships.
Always provide the highest quality of service to the customer.
Participates in sales calls with customers and clients to acquire new business and/or close on business.
Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked e.g., accommodation contracts, conference bookings and wedding sales.
Able to support hotels service and relationship strategy, driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.
Work closely with General Manager/ Front Office/ Revenue Manager to ensure proposed rate negotiations meet the financial needs of the hotels.
Develop strong relationships with the hotel teams to ensure working in unity and always striving to achieve the same goals.
Accompany wedding team on sales calls to potential clients to assist in development of the wedding sales.
Attending all department and hotel meetings as necessary.
Targeting key accounts potential for the company
Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings. Activities include sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, etc.
Develops relationships within community to strengthen and expand customer base for sales opportunities.
Manages and develops relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Acquiring and developing conference and meeting sales and preparing sales proposals for clients
Closely following up on all business leads within a 24-hour response timeline to clients.
Be prepared to work evenings as required and to work one in four weekends.
Carry out any other duties as may be reasonably required.

Minimum Academic / Professional Qualification:
Higher Degree in Sales and Marketing
Minimum Work Experience :
Ø Five years’ work related experience preferably in hospitality sector.
Skills & Competencies Required:
· Experience of digital content & social media, including scheduling programmers, such as Hootsuite, international social media experience a plus
· Copywriting skills
· Experience with Photoshop, Canva, WordPress and MailChimp
· Knowledge of CRM databases, including segmentation & targeting for personalization
· Solid understanding of email KPIs and deriving insights for wider business reporting and actions
· Experience of working in a fast-moving environment, with an ability to handle numerous projects with competing deadlines and priorities.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Excellent attention to detail
· Highly organized, with good time management skills
· Self-motivated
· Adaptable, with a willingness to learn.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
· Computer literate – Excel, Word, Mac & Windows OS.
· Experience working both independently and, in a team, -oriented, collaborative environment.
· Passion for the arts and a commitment to the objectives of the Maguire Hotel Group
· Ability to execute, monitor and analyze campaigns
