We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Truck Driver to join our logistics team. As a key member of our operation, you will be responsible for safely operating Class 4 and Class 5 vehicles, maintaining accurate records, and promoting positive client relations. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and safety-focused individual to contribute to our company's success.
Responsibilities

- Safely operate Class 4 and Class 5 vehicles, including milk tankers, log trucks, and bulk transport vehicles
- Conduct pre-start checks and maintain assigned vehicles in sound condition
- Comply with company policies, health & safety procedures, and New Zealand transport regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery and collection records using company systems
- Promote positive client relations and represent the company professionally
- Participate in practical assessments, including controlled test drives and defined routes
- Engage in workplace exposure sessions to meet real drivers on shift
Desired Candidate Profile
- Minimum 3+ years of experience as a heavy truck driver
- Prior work in logistics, freight, or transport operations preferred
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and pride in vehicle care
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Excellent communication and time-management skills
- Strong focus on safety and regulatory compliance
- Valid Class 4 or Class 5 driver's license
- Willingness to participate in practical assessments and workplace exposure sessions
