Job Description Job Title: Histopathology Technician Experience Required: Minimum 4 Years Job Location: Aster Hospital, Oman Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Histopathology & Cytopathology Technician to join our laboratory team at Aster Hospital, Oman. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in histopathology and cytopathology workflows with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience. Key Responsibilities: • Assist the histopathologist in grossing of specimens • Perform tissue processing, embedding, microtomy (cutting), and manual staining • Handle cytopathology staining and screening of slides • Perform and assist in special staining techniques, including Immunohistochemistry (IHC) • Ensure accuracy and quality control throughout laboratory procedures • Troubleshoot technical issues across different stages of the histopathology and cytopathology workflow • Maintain proper documentation, records, and logs as per laboratory standards • Adhere to laboratory safety, quality, and hospital protocols Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent • Minimum 4 years of experience in histopathology and cytopathology • Strong knowledge of special stains and Immunohistochemistry (IHC) • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team • Good organizational and record maintenance skills
