Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement innovative planting and landscaping designs that enhance aesthetic appeal and biodiversity in various environments.
- Conduct soil testing and analysis to determine nutrient composition and recommend appropriate amendments for optimal plant growth.
- Manage pest and disease control programs using integrated pest management (IPM) strategies to minimize chemical use while ensuring plant health.
- Oversee the propagation of plants through various techniques, including seed germination, cuttings, and grafting, to maintain a diverse plant collection.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Botany, or a related field is essential to understand plant biology and cultivation techniques.
Relevant certifications such as Certified Horticulturist or Landscape Technician can provide an edge in specialized areas.
A minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on horticultural experience in diverse settings, including nurseries, parks, or landscape design firms.
Experience with sustainable horticultural practices and knowledge of local flora can enhance contributions to ecological initiatives.
Requirements: Degree in Horticulture, Agricultural Engineering, Plant Science, or related field, minimum 10 years of experience in agriculture and project management, irrigation systems, fertilization, plant disease diagnosis, strong communication and problem-solving skills, familiarity with modern farming technologies, basic computer skills Work Location: Al Wathbah, Abu Dhabi
