Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Greet guests with a warm, friendly, and professional attitude.
Manage the seating chart and assign tables based on guest preferences and server availability.
Handle guest reservations via phone, email, or booking system.
Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
Communicate estimated wait times to guests when necessary.
Monitor the dining area to ensure a smooth flow of guests and inform the service team of arrivals.
Maintain a clean and organized reception and entrance area.
Assist in managing special requests, including birthdays, anniversaries, and VIP guests.
Coordinate with the service and kitchen teams to ensure timely and efficient service.
Handle guest inquiries, concerns, or complaints professionally and promptly escalate when needed.
Qualifications & Skills:High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience as a host/hostess or in a customer service role is preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Professional appearance and a welcoming demeanor.
Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a busy environment.
Familiarity with reservation systems (e.g., OpenTable, ResDiary) is an advantage.
Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Attributes:Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Positive, outgoing, and guest-focused attitude.
Team player with a willingness to assist across the F&B department when needed.
Knowledge of multiple languages is a plus (especially in international hotels or resorts).
