Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and professionally as they arrive at the restaurant or dining area.
  • Manage guest reservations and maintain an organized waiting list during peak hours.
  • Escort guests to their tables, presenting menus and providing initial information about the dining experience.
  • Coordinate with servers and restaurant staff to ensure smooth seating flow and optimal guest satisfaction.
  • Answer guest inquiries regarding menu items, restaurant amenities, and hotel services.
  • Monitor dining room activity to anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the hostess stand and entrance area.
  • Assist in setting up the dining area before service and resetting tables as needed.
  • Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism, escalating issues to management when necessary.
  • Support the restaurant team in delivering a seamless and memorable guest experience.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hostess, customer service, or hospitality role.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Professional appearance and a welcoming demeanor.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Familiarity with reservation systems and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and move throughout the dining area.
