Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests on arrival and create a positive first impression
  • Escort guests to tables and provide menus while managing seating flow
  • Handle reservations and maintain an accurate seating plan
  • Provide menu guidance, recommendations, and information on specials
  • Ensure prompt guest attention and resolve concerns professionally
  • Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to maintain smooth operations
  • Respond to inquiries, feedback, and complaints courteously
  • Maintain cleanliness and an organized reception area
  • Assist with table setup, clearing, and general dining area upkeep
  • Support bar and F and B service with guest preferences and special requests
  • Maintain solid knowledge of menu items and preparation details
  • Manage administrative tasks including guest lists and reservation updates
  • Communicate accurate wait times during peak hours
  • Help train new hostesses and support staff when required
  • Stay updated on local attractions and events for guest recommendations
  • Participate in pre-shift briefings on specials and operational updates
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in reception and dining areas
