.About The Job
Based at the Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai within the Food and Beverage Department in Dubai, the Hostess is responsible for greeting and seating guests, managing reservations and ensuring every guest feels welcomed and valued. The Hostess also manages and maintains the reservation system, including the database with respective guest preferences. Hostess reports to the Head Hostess.As a Hostess, you will be responsible for the following duties:Warmly welcome guests, manage seating arrangements, and create a polished first impression that reflects the luxury of the brand.Handle reservations efficiently across all channels, maintain accurate records in the reservation system, and coordinate table assignments based on guest preferences and dining flow.Communicate guest preferences, allergies, or special requests to the service and kitchen teams to ensure a seamless dining experience.Demonstrate strong knowledge of the outlet s concept, menu, and promotions; provide accurate and engaging information to guests.Display professional phone etiquette, maintain menu quality and appearance, and assist with upselling beverages and processing billing when required.Create memorable WOW moments, ensure guest satisfaction from arrival to departure in line with MOHG Legendary Quality Experiences (LQEs), and record guest preferences for future service personalisation.As a Hostess, We Expect From YouMinimum 2 years experience as a Hostess in a luxury hotel; prior experience in high-volume, high-service restaurants is preferred.High school qualification required; a degree or diploma in Hospitality/Hotel/Business Management is an advantage.Proficient in handling reservations and guest communication via phone and email; familiar with Table Management Systems.Solid knowledge of bar service procedures and standards is preferred.Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; basic computer proficiency including MS Office.Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and multitasking skills; physically able to stand for extended periods and work flexible shifts.Our commitment to you Learning & Development.
