Hotel Chief Accountant

Responsibilities:

Oversee all financial operations of the hotel, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliations.

Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss reports.

Ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial policies, and hospitality accounting standards.

Coordinate internal and external audits, address findings, and implement corrective actions.

Manage cash flow, banking transactions, and financial risk assessments.

Assist in budget preparation, cost control initiatives, and variance analysis.

Provide accurate financial reports and recommendations to support decision-making.

Implement and maintain internal financial controls to prevent fraud and discrepancies.

Collaborate with the Director of Finance and other department heads to support financial planning and budgeting.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

7 10 years of experience in hotel accounting, financial management,

Strong knowledge of hospitality industry accounting standards (e.g., USALI Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry).

Hands-on experience with financial reporting, tax compliance, and auditing processes.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Proficiency in financial software and MS Office Suite.

Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
