Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Oversee and manage all housekeeping operations to ensure a clean, safe, and hygienic environment throughout the hospital.
Develop, implement, and monitor housekeeping policies, procedures, and quality standards in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Lead, train, and supervise housekeeping staff, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Coordinate with other hospital departments to ensure seamless service delivery and address specific cleaning needs.
Conduct regular inspections of patient rooms, public areas, and specialized medical spaces to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness.
Manage inventory and procurement of cleaning supplies, equipment, and linens, ensuring cost-effective usage and timely replenishment.
Handle scheduling, shift assignments, and performance evaluations for housekeeping personnel.
Respond promptly to housekeeping-related requests, complaints, and emergencies, ensuring swift resolution and patient satisfaction.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety guidelines to minimize risks and maintain accreditation standards.
Prepare and manage departmental budgets, track expenses, and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in housekeeping management, preferably within a hospital or healthcare setting.
Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop large teams in a fast-paced environment.
Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, infection control standards, and healthcare regulations.
Excellent organizational and time management skills with a keen attention to detail.
Proven experience in managing budgets, inventory, and procurement processes.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with staff and other departments.
Ability to handle multiple priorities and respond effectively to emergencies or urgent requests.
Proficiency in using housekeeping management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality, privacy, and high ethical standards.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
