Roles & Responsibilities

Position Title: Housekeeping Staff

Department: Administration / Facilities

Location: Factory & Office Premises

Reports To: Admin/Facilities Supervisor


Job Purpose

To ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and orderliness of the factory premises and office areas,

creating a safe, healthy, and productive working environment for all employees and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

Factory Area Cleaning & Maintenance

• Sweep, mop, and clean factory floors, production areas, corridors, and stairways.

• Collect and dispose of waste materials in designated bins and ensure proper

segregation.

• Clean washrooms, changing rooms, and workers’ rest areas regularly.

• Maintain cleanliness around machines, ensuring no accumulation of dust, grease, or

debris.

• Support in safe disposal of non-hazardous waste and report hazardous spills to the

supervisor immediately.


Office Area Cleaning & Maintenance

• Dust, mop, and vacuum office rooms, meeting halls, reception, and corridors.

• Clean desks, windows, glass doors, furniture, and fixtures.

• Maintain washrooms and pantry areas in clean and hygienic condition.

• Ensure availability of cleaning and sanitary supplies (soap, tissue, hand sanitizer, etc.).

• Empty trash bins and replace liners on a daily basis.


General Duties

• Follow cleaning schedules and work instructions as provided by the supervisor.

• Ensure cleaning tools and equipment are used properly and stored safely.

• Monitor cleaning material stock and inform supervisor when replenishment is needed.

• Follow all safety, health, and hygiene standards while performing duties.

• Report any damages, repair needs, or unusual observations to the supervisor.


Skills & Competencies Required

• Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment.

• Understanding of hygiene and sanitation standards.

• Ability to follow safety protocols in factory and office environments.

• Time management and ability to complete tasks on schedule.

• Teamwork and cooperation with other staff.


Qualifications

• Minimum: Basic education (Primary/Secondary level).

• Prior experience in housekeeping (factory/office/hospitality) preferred.

• Can speak and understand Basic English

• Arabic/Kurdish will be a plus.


Work Conditions

• Work involves standing, walking, bending, and carrying cleaning supplies.

• Exposure to dust, chemicals, and noise in the factory area (safety gear provided).

• Shift-based work may be required depending on factory operations.
