Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and Sanitizing:
    • Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing surfaces.
    • Disinfect and sanitize high-touch areas, such as doorknobs, light switches, and communal spaces.
    • Maintain a hygienic and welcoming environment in guest rooms, common areas, and restrooms.
  • Room Setup and Maintenance:
    • Make beds, change linens, and ensure guest rooms are well-organized.
    • Restock amenities, toiletries, and supplies as needed.
    • Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to the supervisor.
  • Laundry:
    • Collect, sort, wash, dry, and fold linens and towels.
    • Maintain laundry equipment and report any malfunctions.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Monitor and report low stock levels of cleaning supplies and toiletries.
    • Assist in maintaining an organized inventory of housekeeping supplies.
  • Guest Interaction:
    • Provide courteous and professional assistance to guests or residents when requested.
    • Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns and report any unusual situations to the supervisor.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
    • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work collaboratively with other housekeeping staff to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently.
    • Support team members during peak workloads or special projects.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques, and equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
