Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the housekeeping team to ensure that guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces are clean, well-maintained, and meet the hotel s high standards of presentation and hygiene. This role involves supervising staff, inspecting rooms, maintaining inventory, and ensuring guest satisfaction through efficient and friendly service.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of room attendants, public area attendants, and laundry staff.
Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are consistently met.
Assign duties and special projects to housekeeping staff based on occupancy and priorities.
Train, motivate, and support team members to deliver excellent service.
Monitor cleaning supplies, linen, and equipment inventory; report shortages or maintenance needs.
Handle guest requests and complaints promptly and professionally.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
Collaborate with the front office and maintenance teams to manage room readiness and repairs.
Prepare daily reports on room status, staff performance, and other operational needs.
Assist with scheduling and payroll input when required.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in housekeeping, with at least 1 2 years in a supervisory role (preferably in a hotel).
Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Detail-oriented with high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
Ability to multitask and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer skills (MS Office, property management systems preferred).
Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
