ADB Safegate is the market leader in Airfield Solutions, with a presence in 2,300 airports and 40 offices worldwide. We are building ADB Safegate India Labs in Hyderabad, India – our latest software development hub. This is an opportunity to join a truly global company, working on innovative software solutions that support airport operations across Airfield, Apron, Terminal, Tower, and Weather solutions.

 

THE OPPORTUNITY

We're a European product company establishing an engineering centre in Hyderabad.

Your mission is to: To build and establish the HR function in a startup-like environment.

This isn't corporate HR. This is similar to startup-pace, high impact, building something from scratch. This role is pivotal in establishing our new development location, bridging cultures and time zones, and ensuring seamless collaboration with our distributed teams in Europe and the US.


WHAT YOU'LL DO

 

HR Operations

  • Own the entire employee lifecycle end-to-end, serving as the sole point of contact for everything from high-level talent strategy to office administration and vendor management.

  • Set up complete HR compliance (PF, ESI, PT, labor laws) and entire HR foundation from scratch not limited to HR policies, procedures, best practices etc.,

  • Act as the primary HR Partner to the India Labs leadership team, Global leadership Team, and Regional HR Director, providing data-driven insights on local market trends.

  • Coordinate payroll processing with our existing partner and potentially coordinate with Regional HR director to bring this in-house

  • Maintain compensation benchmarks (Hyderabad market)

  • Draft employment contracts, manage employee lifecycle

  • Build employer brand (LinkedIn, Glassdoor, recruitment marketing)

  • Manage employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.

  • Lead local or regional HR projects.

  • Support in recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate screening, and conducting interviews.

  • You advise our employees and managers on HR-related & labour law issues

  • Confidently present updates and project milestones to senior global leaders, bridging the gap between Hyderabad operations and European headquarters

Desired Candidate Profile

We’re Looking for Someone With:

  • 5-7+ years in HR, with 3+ years in tech/engineering

  • Built a Global capability centre / engineering hubs or startup from 0-50+ employees (or similar scale-up experience)

  • Expert-level command of Indian Labor Laws (Shops Act, PF, ESI, contracts) and GCC compliance, with the ability to manage external audits independently. Hyderabad market knowledge Proven international experience in working with diverse teams across different time zones.

  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills to guide a growing team.

  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken;you are also someone who is comfortable challenging the status quo and advising senior stakeholders on cultural nuances and local best practices.

  • A dynamic, flexible, and proactive approach to work, with the ability to pivot quickly as the Labs' priorities evolve


Personnel skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

  • Adaptable and open to change in a fast-paced environment.
