HR Manager Egypt
Position Title HR Manager Location Egypt Reporting to Head of HR and CEO
Position Purpose
The HR Manager acts as a trusted advisor and support the development and implementation of people initiatives for all AMEA Power employees in Egypt, across both office-based and site-based operations. This role requires excellent communication and hands-on operational HR experience. The HR Manager acts with professionalism and confidentiality, serving as a key source of HR advice to management and employees.
Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Head of HR (based in Dubai), and local leadership to support the business strategy and HR initiatives across Egypt offices.
  • Develop HR policies and procedure in alignment with head office and compliant with Egyptian labor laws and regulations.
  • Act as the primary HR contact for both office and site employees, providing hands-on HR support across multiple project locations.
  • Visit project sites to support site management, address employee relations matters, and ensure HR policies are implemented consistently.
  • Manage recruitment, selection, and hiring activities for the corporate and site positions in Egypt.
  • Support employees and managers with HR queries including probation reviews, performance management, disciplinary and grievance matters, leave management, and policy guidance.
  • Liaise with external authorities including the labor office, social security, immigration, and other government bodies as required.
  • Manage the payroll and employee benefits administration for Egypt employees.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure effective use of HR systems in line with group standards.
  • Oversee onboarding and offboarding activities for all Egypt-based employees
  • Support business leaders in delivering performance management, reward, and talent review processes.
  • Oversee talent development initiatives and contribute to succession planning, ensuring a pipeline of skilled talent for leadership roles within the company.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and welfare standards for site employees, including participation in safety inductions, audits, and training initiatives.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes, systems, and service delivery.
  • Provide meaningful HR analytics and reports (headcount, attrition, absence, recruitment, start and leaver data) to support business decision-making.
  • Support the implementation of employee wellness initiatives aimed at enhancing well-being, engagement, and productivity considering the demanding nature of roles within the renewable energy sector.
Person Specification

Qualifications & Experience

  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in an HR Manager or similar senior HR role.
  • Experience supporting site-based workforces (construction, energy, engineering, infrastructure, or industrial environments) is essential
  • Bachelor s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional HR certification such as CIPD, SHRM-CP / SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or equivalent
Required Skills
  • Strong understanding of renewable energy industry trends, technologies, and workforce needs.
  • Experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, and performance management
  • Strong knowledge of Egyptian labor law, employment regulations, HR best practices, and compliance requirements, including ESG considerations relevant to the energy sector.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong data analysis and HR reporting skills, with the ability to generate actionable insights from metrics.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Written and oral communication, English and Arabic is a must
