Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Ensure that HSE Documentation and controlled procedures are followed, updated and revised, and prepare for HSE internal and external audits.

  • Assist departments in the identification and assessment of Environmental Aspect/Impact through Green Purchasing and Risk Assessment through Process Evaluation
  • Liaise with OSC Departments on matters related to HSE Documentation and assist the Departments as required
  • Assist the Senior Supervisor – HSE in the development and modification of HSE Policies and Procedures
  • Assist the Liaison Officer – HSE to coordinate with legal authorities regarding up-to-date relevant legal and other requirements.
  • Assist the Senior Supervisor – HSE to oversee the development of the ERP software system to ensure compliance with established company policies and procedures.
  • Support, adhere and promote QHSE policy along with its ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 9001 principles
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

OPERATING ENVIRONMENT

  • Occasionally the work will be performed outside in heat/cold, humid, and dry/arid conditions.
  • Able to work under pressure to meet tough deadlines.
  • Required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials.
  • Ability to travel to various locations.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualification & Education:

  • Graduate from university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science/Engineering in applicable field.
  • Sufficient knowledge in Occupational Health, Safety and Environment comparable to the UK Level 3 Certificate
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English and Arabic; knowledge of Hindi/Urdu would be an advantage. Arabic-speaking candidates preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum five years of work experience directly related to the job accountabilities specified.

Training & Knowledge:

  • ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 Internal Auditor Training
  • Knowledge of MS Office Applications and ERP.
