Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular Vessel(Ship) inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct vessel inspection for pre audit to ensure Customer requirement is met and vessel is following safety standards
  • Coordinate and assist during client inspection of vessels and follow-up punch list and arrange for close out.
  • Coordinate incident investigations, documenting findings, and ensuring corrective measures are implemented to prevent recurrence.
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining HSE documentation, including reports, manuals, and emergency response plans.
  • Act as a liaison between management and employees to promote safety awareness and foster a proactive safety culture.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to health, safety, and environmental performance.
  • Arrange 3rd party services of vessels basis expiry dates and update the records
  • Liaise with authorities for Class and Flag requirement arrangements and update vessel certificates
  • Support the preparation and submission of HSE-related permits and documentation to regulatory bodies.
  • Participate & prepare for vessel + company HSE audits and inspections, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement in HSE practices.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • NEBOSH or equivalent certification in health and safety management is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in HSE coordination within the industrial or construction sectors.
  • Proficiency in risk assessment and incident investigation methodologies.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and develop actionable insights.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented mindset, with a commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Physical ability to conduct site inspections and assessments in various environmental conditions.
