Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Implement HSE Management System
Enforce company HSE policies and ensure full compliance across all substation construction activities.Ensure Regulatory Compliance
Monitor and ensure adherence to UAE authority standards and client requirements.Risk Assessment & Method Statements (RAMS)
Review, prepare, and implement risk assessments, method statements, and safe work procedures for all site activities.Site Inspections & Safety Audits
Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.Permit-to-Work (PTW) System Control
Monitor and enforce PTW systems for high-risk activities such as electrical works, lifting operations, and excavation.Incident Investigation & Reporting
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; prepare detailed reports with root cause analysis and recommendations.Toolbox Talks & Safety Training
Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions to promote a strong safety culture on site.Subcontractor HSE Supervision
Ensure subcontractors comply with all HSE requirements and project safety standards at all times.Coordination with Project & Client Teams
Liaise with project managers, engineers, and client safety representatives to ensure smooth and safe project execution.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) mandatory.
Strong experience in substation construction projects.
Must have previous approval with DEWA / TAQA / Etihad WE projects.
