HSE Engineer J10 Consulting FZ LLE

Our Tier 1 Main Contracting Client has a new requirement for a well experienced HSE Engineer to join their team in Abu Dhabi to work on a high profile new villa and mansion project. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a HSE Engineer working on high profile projects in the UAE with preference given to those with prior experience in working for recognised Main Contracting Companies and/or ALDAR projects previously

This role is available for immediate joining and is hiring on a temporary to permanent basis as an initial 6 month contract position, outsourced through J10 Consulting, with the option to transfer to staff after 6 months to suit all parties.

Key Responsibilities:

• HSE Management & Compliance: Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and systems in line with UAE laws and international standards.
• Ensure compliance with Municipality and authority requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Prepare and submit HSE documentation, reports, and permits required by authorities.
• Site Safety & Operations: Monitor daily site activities to ensure safe work practices are followed.
• Identify hazards and implement corrective and preventive measures.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and training sessions for staff and subcontractors.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare reports and implement corrective actions.
• Authority & Client Coordination: Liaise with government authorities during inspections and audits.
• Support management during authority visits and compliance reviews.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors on HSE-related matters.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain HSE records including incident logs, training records, permits, and inspections.
• Prepare weekly and monthly HSE reports for management.
• Ensure proper implementation of method statements, risk assessments (RA), and HSE plans.
