Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify hazards and implement effective control measures that align with industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain HSE policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with local regulations and international best practices.
  • Lead safety audits and inspections, providing actionable insights to mitigate risks and enhance workplace safety culture.
  • Facilitate HSE training sessions for employees, tailored to specific job functions, to promote awareness and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents thoroughly, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with project teams to integrate HSE considerations into project planning and execution, minimizing operational risks.
  • Monitor and analyze HSE performance metrics, preparing reports that drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
  • Engage with regulatory agencies, ensuring timely submission of compliance documents and maintaining open lines of communication.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture by leading safety meetings and encouraging employee involvement in HSE programs.
  • Stay updated with emerging HSE trends and technologies, integrating innovative solutions to enhance safety and health management.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field is essential for technical understanding.
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in an HSE role, preferably within the oil and gas or construction industries.
  • Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) to validate expertise in safety management.
  • Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies and safety management systems to effectively identify and mitigate hazards.
  • Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards to ensure compliance with international safety and environmental regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex safety data and making informed decisions to improve workplace safety.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus for multinational environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead safety training and workshops, fostering a culture of safety awareness among employees.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and engage employees in HSE initiatives.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying safety concerns and implementing innovative solutions.
