Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards in the workplace and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures tailored to specific operational needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, documenting findings and corrective actions.
  • Lead incident investigations to determine root causes, ensuring lessons learned are effectively communicated and integrated into future practices.
  • Facilitate HSE training programs for employees to enhance awareness and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship throughout the organization.
  • Monitor and analyze HSE performance metrics, preparing reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices, advising management on necessary changes to HSE strategies.
  • Assist in emergency response planning, ensuring that procedures are in place and that drills are conducted regularly.
  • Engage with external regulatory bodies and stakeholders to ensure compliance and foster positive relationships.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are highly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HSE roles, preferably within the oil and gas, construction, or manufacturing industries.
  • Exposure to international HSE standards and regulations, with experience in multi-national environments being an advantage.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus, especially in regions with diverse workforces.
  • A strong commitment to continuous improvement and professional development in HSE practices.
