Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Ensure that repair and maintenance work is carried out in compliance with both technical and environmental health and safety standards, protecting the crew, contractors, and the environment.

  • Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards in the workplace and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.

  • Ensure that the ship complies with international safety standards related to hazardous chemicals, materials, and environmental protection.

  • Ensuring compliance with the local rules & regulations.

  • Issuance of PTW for various ship repair activities.

  • Ensuring organizations adhere to environmental regulations and minimize their impact on nature

  • Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy.

  • Perform regular inspections to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, documenting findings and corrective actions.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marine/Mechanical/Naval Architecture/Chemical Engineering.

  • Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are highly preferred.

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in HSE roles, preferably within the UAE Ship repair industry.
