Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Ensure that repair and maintenance work is carried out in compliance with both technical and environmental health and safety standards, protecting the crew, contractors, and the environment.
Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards in the workplace and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
Ensure that the ship complies with international safety standards related to hazardous chemicals, materials, and environmental protection.
Ensuring compliance with the local rules & regulations.
Issuance of PTW for various ship repair activities.
Ensuring organizations adhere to environmental regulations and minimize their impact on nature
Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy.
Perform regular inspections to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, documenting findings and corrective actions.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Marine/Mechanical/Naval Architecture/Chemical Engineering.
Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are highly preferred.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in HSE roles, preferably within the UAE Ship repair industry.
