Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures across all operational sites.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with local and international HSE regulations.
- Coordinate and deliver HSE training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, ensuring thorough root cause analysis and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor and report on HSE performance metrics, preparing detailed reports for senior management and regulatory authorities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate HSE best practices into project planning, execution, and maintenance activities.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, legislative changes, and emerging risks related to health, safety, and environment.
- Liaise with external agencies, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders to ensure compliance and foster positive relationships.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workplace safety, reduce environmental impact, and achieve sustainability goals.
- Supervise and mentor HSE officers and coordinators, providing guidance and support for their professional development.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in HSE roles within industrial, manufacturing, or construction environments.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing HSE management systems and policies.
- Strong knowledge of local and international HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.
- Excellent communication and training skills, with the ability to engage and influence all levels of the organization.
- OSHA & NEBOSH Certified.
- Ability to work on-site (on-premises) and adapt to dynamic operational environments.
