Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and enforce company-wide HSE policies and procedures in line with UAE regulations and regional best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental laws, regulations, and company requirements.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction sites, equipment, and activities.
  • Lead the identification of workplace hazards and conduct risk assessments.
  • Implement emergency response plans, fire safety drills, and occupational health programs.
  • Oversee compliance with client-specific safety requirements and project HSE plans.
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement corrective/preventive measures.
  • Ensure accurate reporting and documentation of all HSE incidents, inspections, and audits.
  • Lead the HSE team and coordinate with project/site managers, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Deliver Toolbox Talks, HSE induction, and awareness training for all site personnel.
  • Ensure workers, subcontractors, and site supervisors are trained in safe work procedures and emergency response.
  • Monitor daily site activities, ensuring strict compliance with HSE procedures.
  • Prepare and submit HSE performance reports (daily, weekly, and monthly) to management and clients.
  • Track and report on HSE KPIs, including incident rates, audit scores, and corrective actions closure.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years’ HSE experience in the UAE construction industry.
  • Certified HSE qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, Lead Auditor)are preferred.
  • Proven track record in managing HSE teams on large-scale developments.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE HSE laws and regulations
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and influence positive safety behaviors.
  • Proactive and detail-oriented approach to safety.
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills.
  • Ability to train, coach, and motivate teams.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement in HSE performance.
