Roles and Responsibilities

The HSSE Manager is responsible for the overall HSSE performance and compliance of the project and is accountable for ensuring the Contractor’s adherence to HSSE standards and project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Accountable for the implementation and maintenance of the Project HSSE Plan.

Assist in the implementation of HSSE programs, services, and initiatives in support of project objectives.

Oversee and participate in Contractor Safety Programs including audits, toolbox talks, and performance reviews.

Conduct incident analysis, reporting, and participation in HAZOP studies.

Develop and implement safety training programs.

Provide consultation on HSSE concerns, compliance, and operational issues.

Ensure HSSE presence and leadership on-site to reinforce the company’s safety culture.

Verify contractor risk analyses and implement preventive/mitigation measures.

Follow up on critical activities and prepare periodic HSE reports.

Conduct incident, accident, and near-miss investigations and root cause analyses.

Ensure daily site supervision, safety observations, and compliance with safety KPIs.

Review and approve Contractor Construction HSE Plans.

Manage and approve the mobilization and demobilization of HSE personnel.

Education & Qualifications

NEBOSH-qualified degree holder.

Minimum 10 years of HSSE work experience in the Oil & Gas industry.

Minimum 15 years’ experience in Brownfield Oil & Gas project delivery.

Preferred Skill Set

Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Proven ability to manage multinational teams and deliver HSSE performance targets.

Strong interfacing skills with multiple disciplines.
