Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Job Purpose: To ensure a safe, healthy, and environmentally compliant living and working environment across camps and facilities by implementing HSE policies, conducting inspections, and promoting safety awareness.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures across camps and facilities.

  • Conduct regular inspections of accommodation, kitchens, dining areas, laundries, recreational areas, and common facilities.

  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, company standards, and client requirements.

  • Identify hazards, conduct risk assessments, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

  • Monitor hygiene, sanitation, and waste management practices to maintain high standards.

  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; prepare reports and recommend improvements.

  • Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions for staff and residents.

  • Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety signage.

  • Coordinate with maintenance teams to address safety-related issues promptly.

  • Maintain HSE records, reports, permits, and documentation.

  • Promote a positive safety culture among employees and camp residents.


Desired Candidate Profile

  • Diploma/Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH).

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in HSE, preferably in camps or facilities management.

  • Knowledge of local HSE regulations and standards.

  • Strong observation, reporting, and communication skills.

  • Ability to handle emergencies and enforce safety compliance.
