Roles & Responsibilities

Role Description:
The HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) Officer oversees all HSE aspects across
materials testing laboratories, pre-construction activities, and field sites. They ensure
compliance with regulatory standards, foster a robust safety culture, and manage
environmental impacts for safe and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement HSE policies and procedures in labs and on-site.
• Conduct risk assessments for chemical handling, equipment use, and site
activities.
• Perform regular inspections and audits of labs and pre-construction areas.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses; recommend corrective actions.
• Deliver safety training and toolbox talks to staff and contractors.
• Develop emergency response plans and coordinate drills.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and training.
• Prepare and submit monthly HSE reports to management.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–4 years of experience in HSE roles, ideally in materials testing or construction.
• Strong knowledge of risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety training.

• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
