Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all HSE policies and procedures are in compliance with legal requirements and are effectively implemented across the organization. You will play a key role in promoting a safe work environment and will be responsible for conducting risk assessments, safety audits, and accident investigations. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to health and safety management. Responsibilities
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards in the workplace.
- Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety legislation and regulations.
- Conduct safety audits and inspections to ensure adherence to company standards.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and preventive measures.
- Deliver HSE training and awareness programs to employees and contractors.
- Coordinate emergency response exercises and drill activities regularly.
- Maintain records and documentation related to health, safety, and environmental activities.
- Collaborate with management to develop strategic safety initiatives and improvements.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of HSE performance to senior management.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous safety improvement.
- Engage with external bodies, such as regulatory agencies and third-party auditors.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in an HSE role within a similar industry.
- Certification in Health and Safety, such as NEBOSH or equivalent, is preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation and standards.
- Strong analytical, investigation, and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are mandatory.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct effective training and presentation sessions.
