Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Strategic

· Ensure a safe workplace environment for all employees, visitors and contractors in the company premises

· Develop, review, maintain and update the Health and Safety risk registers

· Continuous Improvement of HSE System

· Reporting (periodic reports to management)


Operational

· Analyzing and Investigation of Accidents/Incidents

· Conduct Daily/Weekly/Monthly HSE walk-around in factory and office in Jebel Ali, including Office and Labour Camps

· Fulfillment of the local authorities requirements in terms of HSE

· Updating and implementation of Legal Requirements

· Documentation of Key Figures (Accident Rate, Lost Working Hours, etc.)

· Conduct and participate in internal HSE Audits

· Develop and Implementation of evacuation/emergency procedures

· Undertake regular safety inspections and Health & Safety audits

· Hazardous material identification and discretion

· Compliance on Hazard Waste Management and documentation

· Managing of the First Aid training needs and requirements

· Maintaining of First Aid Room as well as First Aid Boxes


People

· Plan and conduct a Health and Safety training programs for all UFC locations

· Plan and conduct drills with employees and service providers

Desired Candidate Profile

Education and Experience

· NEBOSH Certification

· University Degree in relevant course major HSE

· 3-5 years as HSE Officer in manufacturing industry


Specific Knowledge

· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

· Good presentation and communication skills and competent to work independently

· Good communication and organizational skills

· Fluent in English, Hindi/Urdu/Arabic is an added advantage.
